Agabia Rangel

Services for Agabia "Gippie" Rangel, Sr., 76, will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 11:30 until service time. Officiating the service will be Rev. Frank Stringham. Agabia was born on August 18, 1944 to Mello Rangel and Mary Golindo Rangel in Bradley, Arkansas and passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 in Shreveport. Agabia was a resident of Stonewall and a Molding Tech with AT&T. He was also a butcher at several meat markets over the years in the area. He loved to hunt and loved to work. He had a great love for his children and grandchildren. Agabia is preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years, Judie Rangel; siblings, Lewis Rangel and wife, Cookie, Ramona Husband, Anna Gross and husband, Tommie, Suzy Hodges and husband, Rodney; children, Agabia "Gip" Rangel, Jr. and wife, Kim, Bryan Rangel and wife, Bridgette, Linda Barlow and husband, David; grandchildren, Jessica, Matt, Chelsea, Logan, Dalton, Emma, Justin and Tommy; and nine great-grandchildren. His distinguished smile will be missed by everyone.
