Alice Oliver

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Services for Alice N. Oliver, 93, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Pastor Danny Moffett of Believers Worship Center, Benton, LA. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home. Alice was born on October 26, 1922 in Shreveport, LA to Myrtle May Bodine and John Gregg Nicholson, Sr. and received her wings surrounded by her family on October 12, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Oliver, and her parents, three brothers, Greg, Bob, and Jack; two sisters, Mabel and Betty. Alice is survived by one daughter, Lisa Berard and husband, Jason; three grandchildren, Daniel Bartlett and wife, Ashley of Lake Charles, LA, Alicia Hall "Best Friend" and husband, Jason of Bossier City, LA, Lauren Phillips and husband, Bradley of Springfield, MO; four great-grandchildren, Oliver Phillips, Tristan Phillips, Kinsley Bartlett, Alexis Hall, and two more due in 2017; and many other relatives, friends, and all that loved her. Honoring Alice as pallbearers will be Danny Bartlett, Jason Hall, Bradley Phillips, and Dustin Taylor. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Cypress Point Nursing Home who gave her such care and compassion, and Promise Hospital where she spent her final days.
