Minden, LA Andrew, "Z-Man" was born August 27, 1970 in Santiago, Chile and immigrated to the United States in 1971, with his family. He entered into rest June 11, 2020 in Doyline, Louisiana. Andrew grew up in Minden where his outgoing, fun-loving nature and strong ethics earned him many life-long friends. Shortly after graduating high school, where he was an outstanding football player, Andrew joined the United States Marine Corp to serve his country. While serving in the Marines, Andrew was deployed in battle in Operation Desert Storm, Desert Shield and several unnamed conflicts. Andrew earned respect from his peers and many awards and medals including National Defense Medal, Rifle and Pistol Expert and Sea Service Medal. Andrew eventually left the Marine Corp and settled down with his family in Minden, but the Marine Corp never left him, both in his heart and in his mind. Andrew loved his family and enjoyed teaching his children and nephews life lessons as well as gun safety and shooting skills. He also enjoyed motorcycling both on and off-road with his family and friends. Andrew was considered an American Hero to his children, family and the any who called him friend. Uncle Andrew, Z-Man, Andrew, son, Marine! All names he answered to and proudly called Dad by his children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jorge and Maria Solo de Zaldivar of Santiago, Chile. He is survived by his wife and mother of his children, Carrie Cheatham of Minden, son, Zachary Tyler Zaldivar of Pineville, daughter, Taylor Ann Zaldivar of Minden, sisters, Maria Zaldivar Cooper and husband Michael of Marietta, Georgia, Mary Zaldivar Avery and husband Danny Kay of Minden, and Alex Zaldivar Wiggers and husband Rusty of Winnsboro, brother, Jorge Zaldivar of Minden, nieces and nephews, Cody and Britney Avery, Christopher Cooper, Christian Avery, Russ Wiggers, Colby Zaldivar, Connor Zaldivar, and Evan Wiggers, great nephew, Grayson Avery, and many extended family members and friends. Pallbearers will be Zachary Zaldivar, David Tanczuk, Dave Watson, Gregg Shepherd, Greg Williams, Don Smith, Tommy Cockrell, Jordan Richards, Jimmy McBride, and Pat Payton. Honorary pallbearers will be Rama Trump, Jeff Patton, Tommy Rodgers, and Jason Perot. Funeral services for Andrew will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church in Minden, Louisiana with Father Rothel Price officiating. Interment will follow at Wiggers Family Cemetery, 189 Wiggers Lane, Winnsboro, Louisiana 71295 under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
