Angela was born July 15, 1971 in Mansfield, LA to Roy O’Neal Moton and Darla Ann Flores-Turner and she entered into rest on June 4, 2019. Angela was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe and Joyce Flores and Leroy and Imogene Moton; cousins, Rachel Moton and Christopher Banks.

Angela retired from DeSoto Parish School System after more than 23 years of teaching. She loved and was loved by her students and was a talented, exceptional teacher. After retirement, Angela devoted herself to her numerous animals- dogs, goats, pigs, and chickens. She had a love for nature and all animals. Her love and support will be greatly missed by her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Josh Gooden of Stanley, Louisiana; father, Roy Moton and mother, Darla Turner and husband, Ray; brother, Harvey Moton of Stanley, Louisiana; sister, Beverly Stanley and husband, Jason of Joaquin, Texas; son, Jordan Goelden and wife, Callye of Center, Texas; daughters, Ariel and Keely Goelden of Stanley, Louisiana and grandchildren, Camryn, Madilynn, Willow, Briley, and Talan; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, and cousins.

DeSoto Parish Farm Bureau alongside with DeSoto Parish 4-H have set up a Love Fund for Keely Goelden. Keely, 14, is the daughter of Angela Moton Gooden and step daughter to one of our Farm Bureau Board Members, Josh Gooden. She is also a member of Stanley High School 4-H and the DeSoto parish 4-H Junior Leader Club. Keely lost her mother due to a tragic accident on June 4, 2019. We have come together to start this fund as a way for our community to be able to help when most of us feel helpless during this time. These donations will be accessible for Keely to use as a scholarship fund to help further her education after high school. Donations can be given at any Community Bank Location — Bossier, Shreveport, Stonewall, Gloster, Mansfield, or Logansport.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to DeSoto Parish Animal Control, 404 Liberty Ln, Grand Cane, LA 71032.
