Annette H. Woodard, 49, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017. Annette was born September 27, 1967 in Heilbronn, Germany to Gerd E. Haussermann and Rosina A. Gilg. She was raised by her loving grandparents that she adored, Franz and Maria Sailer. She was employed by Patterson Dental, Inc. for over 20 years. She loved and was loved by her Patterson family. Annette was a phenomenal wife, mother, Nana, and friend. She was a very selfless woman, always thinking of others and would not hesitate to help in any way she could. She and her husband of over 30 years, Don, met in Germany and she continued to raise her family in the traditions of her heritage, keeping it alive through her wonderful cooking, words, and actions. No one in her life could ever doubt the love she felt for them. She was always there offering a gentle hand and a warm smile. Annette was loved by many and will be sincerely missed by us all. She is preceded in death by her father, Gerd Ernst Haussermann and mother, Rosina Anita Gilg, grandparents, Franz and Maria Sailer, and father-in-law, Stan Woodard. Annette is survived by her husband, Don Woodard; daughter, Michelle Karr and husband, Shawn; son, Matthew Woodard; son, Glenn Woodard and wife Sarah; daughter, Amanda Breaux and husband Jeremy; mother-in-Law, Dona Woodard; grandchildren, Katlyn Gallagher, Bryson Lolley, Abbagale Duggan, Reed Woodard, Lucas Breaux, Riley Breaux, Jace Karr, Talon Karr; sister, Marion Bairaktaridis and husband Dimitri, sister, Bridgette and husband Jurgen Merkle; numerous family and friends that dearly loved her. Honoring Annette as pallbearers will be: Matthew Woodard, Glenn Woodard, Shawn Karr, Jeremy Breaux, Chris Purvis, and Doug Whittington. Serving as Honorary pallbearer will be John Hyden. Graveside service open to family and friends will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, July 17, 2017, at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clark Rd., Keithville, LA, officiated by Pastor Steve Hill. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, afsp.org. Join the cause to help raise awareness for suicide prevention and depression during the months of September and October. The family would appreciate anyone who would like to join in the Out of the Darkness Walk on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at Benton High School. Register here afsp.org.
