A funeral service for Barbara Shepherd, 84, will be held 10:00 a.m. Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Reverend Woody Janise. Barbara was born July 15, 1937 in Pelham, Massachusetts to Walter Guyotte and Dorothy Guyotte and passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Barbara was known to many has either "Mom" or "Granny" she didn't care if you were related or not, she just let everyone call her that. She loved to bake and cook in her younger years. Barbara enjoyed listening to christian music. She had a strong faith and a passion for God. She was a great mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and the "dogs". Barbara was such a strong independent woman. She lived her life honestly and full of integrity and passed those values to each person she came across, she is an example that many should look up to and take notes. She didn't have any complaints ever and she always keep pushing on all the way to the end. Barbara is going to be greatly missed by all. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; son, Thomas Johnson; granddaughter, Makenzie Johnson; brother, Robert Guyotte; sisters, Arlene Rodovich, Lucille Miller, Linda Nadolski. She is survived by son, Paul Johnson and wife, Diane; daughters, Brenda Modisette and husband, Buddy, and Fern Johnson; sister, Pat Morgan; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and special nieces. The family would like to give a special thank you to all the doctors and nurses that took care of her, and Grace Home Hospice for everything they did for her.
