Bertrand Moore

Funeral services for Bertrand Ravelle Moore, 87, will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Elder Troy Phillips and Elder Joe Asbell. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Road in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Bertrand was born on July 13, 1933 to James Ira Moore and Cynthia Iva Lowe in Edenburg, Mississippi and passed away quickly and peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, January 8, 2021 in Shreveport. Bertrand was a resident of Shreveport and worked as a salesman in various industries. He had a wonderful sense of humor, loved Justin Wilson jokes, working on cars, and singing bass. He loved and delighted in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all his heart. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Everett Moore; siblings, Lavon, Alton, Sylvia, Clovis, Noble, Olivia and Hermit. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Marilyn Fong, Patricia Thompson and husband, Art; grandchildren, David Kindred and wife, Tiffany, Brian Fong, Brad Fong; great-grandchildren, Ethan Kindred, Eli Kindred, Evan Kindred, Kinley Fong and Ava Fong. Honoring Bertrand as pallbearers will be Art Thompson, David Kindred, Ethan Kindred, Brian Fong, Brad Fong and Chris Britt.
