Funeral services for Betty Faye Attaway Taylor Jennings, 79, will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Summer Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, April 30, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Betty was born on January 22, 1942 to Elmer Ray Attaway and Anna May Taylor in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 in Shreveport. Betty was a devoted Christian and loved her God. She was also a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend to anyone she met. She loved her family and friends. Betty worked many years for Holy Cross managing Senior Apartments. She loved her residents, and they were like family to her. She always worked to instill Jesus, love, family and fellowship in their lives which made hers and theirs a happier place in which to live. She loved sewing, the Bible and her very large family. She will be missed by many. Her little green eyes could always make you smile. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. She is preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands, Jean W. Taylor and Garry N. Jennings; her daughters, Theresa Taylor Hooper Johnson, Connie D. Taylor and Anna M. Jennings; and one great-granddaughter, Samantha Nicole Riley; and all of her siblings. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Claudia Taylor, Cathy Taylor Riley, and Jana Jennings Leaver and Mike Jennings; grandchildren, Heather Renee' Arellano, Nacole Riley, Gary Riley, Jr., Jessica Hooper Hutchison; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Zoie, Kinslee, Gary III, Madison, Chloe Riley, Kasey Mesheal, Brittany Kanza and Stephen McCauley; and one great-great-granddaughter, Videl Popchoke; and numerous other family members and friends. Honoring Betty as pallbearers will be Gary Riley, Jr., Marvin Robinson, Kevin Venable, James Brewer, Robert Lukasheay and Gary Burnley. The family would like to thank Betty's special friends, Barbara Riley, June Hightower and Donna Hendrix for all the love and support they gave to Betty. Also a special thank-you to the staffs at Shreveport Manor, Regional Hospice and Toni and Christy.
