Bill Bain, Sr.
Bill Bain, Sr. was born on December 24, 1938 in Wayne, Oklahoma to Carl and Zelma Bain. Mr. Bain passed away on March 26, 2017 at the age of 78. Mr. Bain resided in Shreveport, LA with his family. He worked for Halliburton for 25 years as a Maintenance Director of Southern Hemisphere. He was a faithful Christian and was a member of the University Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. Bill proudly served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Bain is preceded in death by his son, Bradley Bain; parents, Zelma and Carl Bain; brother, Carol Bain; and sister, Eloise. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 56 years, Phyliss Bain; son, Billy Bain Jr. and wife Kim; daughter, Deborah Odom and husband Carl; grandsons, Dustin McBride and Cole Odom; granddaughters, Melissa Harmon and husband David, Amanda Bain and fiancé Richie Pacheco and Mariah McBride; brother, Doyle Bain and wife Nora; sister Juanita Eirick; sister-in-law, Vera Bain and numerous loving family and friends.
Services for Bill will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at University Church of Christ in Shreveport, with Jerry Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in Rose-Neath Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Rose-Neath Marshall St.
Honoring Bill as pallbearers will be Dustin McBride, Carl Odom, Cole Odom, David Harmon, Jon Bain, Ricky Bain, Russell Bain, and Richie Pacheco. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Bobby Housel, Warren Williams, and Michael Coston.
