Billie Peacock Coker, 88, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017. The family will receive at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Mansfield, Louisiana, from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, November 14.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, November 15, in the chapel at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Mansfield, Louisiana with Pastor David Permenter officiating. Interment will follow the service at Oak Grove Cemetery, Converse, Louisiana.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, Chester Peacock and Gladys Ammons Bosarge and husband of sixty-three years Davis "Hooks" Coker.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Poole Hayes of Monroe, Louisiana; LaVerne Bailey and husband Howard of Jasper, Georgia; two sons, Billy Davis Coker and wife Jan of Stonewall, Louisiana; and Jimmy Carl Coker of Stonewall, Louisiana; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren.
Billie was a homemaker and the former co-owner of Hooks' Fishing Camp on Toledo Bend, now known as Jolly Rogers Marina. Billie was currently residing in Monroe, Louisiana. Previous home places included Grand Cane, Louisiana, the Bolivar community out of Oak Grove, and Union Springs community on Toledo Bend and Jasper, Georgia.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Russell Poole, B.J. Coker, Brandon Coker, Daniel Coker, Lehi Coker and Adam Bailey. Honorary pallbearers will be James Harold Coker, Wendell Coker, and Mike Patrick.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Oak Grove Fellowship Cemetery Fund or the Alzheimer's Association.
Billie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Billie was her happiest when she was with her family.
