Billy Thomas Lowe

Billy Thomas Lowe, 88, left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father, Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at his home in Mooringsport, Louisiana. Billy lost a lengthy battle with cancer, but looked forward to being with his Lord and Savior. Billy was born February 23, 1932, to Conrad and Madie (Attaway) Lowe from Blanchard, Louisiana. Billy was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Peggy Lowe Paige from Bossier City, Louisiana. Billy served in the Army from 1952-54 as a Combat Engineer. The majority of his military service was spent in Germany. In 1956, Billy began a long career at Universal Oil Products (UOP). He retired after 36 ½ years of service. In July 1957, Billy married Patsy (Bootsie) Ellett from Mooringsport, Louisiana. They celebrated 62 years of marriage and raised 3 children. Billy loved his friends, loved to joke and enjoyed talking with anyone that would listen. Billy is survived by his wife, Patsy (Bootsie) Lowe; son, Paul Lowe and wife Sonia; daughter, Sue Lowe Diebold and husband Bill; son, John Lowe and wife Cindy. Billy had two grandsons, Jacob Diebold and wife Lauren and Matt Diebold and wife Cari, two great-grandsons, Jack and Reid Diebold and two nephews. Due to Covid-19 a family graveside will be held at Mount Zion Cemetery on Saturday, April 25, 2020. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mooringsport Methodist Church at P.O. Box 547, Mooringsport, LA 71060.
