Funeral services for Bonnie Gayle Beason, 70, will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Road, Shreveport. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the services. Officiating the service will be Pastor Brian Opbroek. Bonnie was born on February 6, 1951 to Homer V. and Betty Jean Cooksey in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021 in Shreveport. Bonnie was a resident of Keithville and worked as an Office Administrator at Walnut Hill Elementary/Middle School before retiring. She loved flower gardening, LSU football and fishing. She was an active member of Shreveport Community Church. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, David H. Beason; sister, Lana K. Harrell. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Ashley Spano and husband, William and their children, Kelsey, Haley, Sydney and Seth; son, Matthew and wife, Lindsay Beason, and their children, Ty, Kaylee and Jayce; sister, Linda Wright and husband, Fred; brothers, Vernon Cooksey, Jeff Cooksey and wife, Michelle, Kenneth Cooksey and wife, Allison, Scott Cooksey and wife, Teresa; great-grandchildren, Greyson and Paislee; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; as well as her many friends. Honoring Bonnie as pallbearers will be Danny Harrell, Dustin Harrell, Bryan Cooksey, Tristen Cooksey, Dalton Cooksey and Jeffery Cooksey. The family would like to express special thanks to the Memory Unit of Brookdale and her sister, Linda Wright for all the love, support and care shown to Bonnie during her illness, as well as her many friends that blessed her life. She is now in Heaven eternally dancing with the love of her life, her husband, David.
