Greenwood, LA – Bonnie-Ellen Pfaff Coy age 86, passed away on December 15, 2019 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Mrs. Coy was born to Rev. J. Newland and Verda Fausett Pfaff on March 11, 1933 in Anthony, Kansas. She graduated in 1950 in Tokyo, Japan where her parents were missionaries. There she met the love of her life Edgar R. Coy, a Navy seaman. She moved to New York to attend college. Edgar and Bonnie-Ellen got married in 1952, then they moved to Louisiana. She retired from teaching 5th grade at Calvary Baptist Academy. She enjoyed sewing and reading books.
Mrs. Coy was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Edgar R. Coy; parents; and brother, Donn Pfaff. She is survived by her children, Steve Coy and wife Mona, Danny Coy and wife Jeannie, Deborah Parker and husband James, Elisabeth Crown and husband Howard, Wanda Goodman; grandchildren, Becky Malone and husband Clay, Melody Golden and husband Ronny, Jamie Sanson and Joel Taylor, Doug Wood, Lisa McGee and husband Keith, Laura Verret and husband Robbie, Gregg Gregory and wife Emily, Michael Ciaravino; great grandchildren, Parker Malone, Marissa Golden, Owen Gregory, Liam McGee, Levi McGee, Lyle McGee, Eva Verret, Emma Verret, Beau Verret, Bella Verret; and brother, Rev. Richard Pfaff and wife Marilyn.
Graveside services will conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Northwest Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clarke Road, Keithville, Louisiana. Brother Price Harris will be officiating the service.
