Brenda Parker

SHREVEPORT, LA - Brenda Kierbow Parker, youngest daughter of T.E. and Marion Kierbow, was born on February 13, 1958. She entered into eternal peace and rest on March 16, 2018. She was a native of Shreveport, graduating from Southwood High School in 1976. Brenda moved to Mansfield, Louisiana when she married and raised her family there. She enjoyed many years as an employee at Desoto Regional Hospital and Halliburton and the many special friends she made at each. In recent years, Brenda returned to Shreveport to be closer to her immediate family. She loved her children with all of her heart, as well as her extended family. She had many close relationships, especially with her three sisters, many cousins and her boyfriend, Todd Freeman. Brenda loved fiercely all who knew her and never met a stranger. Brenda had a big heart for all animals, but she was especially overjoyed with a dog in her lap or by her side. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, T.E. and Marion Kierbow and her grandparents Thaud Eugene and Era Kierbow and James and Millie Bruce. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Chase Miller Parker. Brenda is survived by her son, Chad Parker and wife Charlene of Shreveport, her daughter, Kelli Parker and Dan Tuttle of Bedford, Texas; sisters, Debbie Galbraith and husband John of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Nancy Prunty and husband Mark of Shreveport, and Linda Sandefur and husband Mark of Haughton. Brenda and her twin sister, Linda, shared a most special bond that only twins can understand. If they were not together, they were checking on one another every day. They were the very best of friends. She had one grandson, Charles Henry Parker. She is also survived by her mother's twin sister, Martha Addison; nephews Brandon and Graeme Oxley, Wade and Justin Prunty and Bradley and Blake Sandefur; great niece and nephew Bella and Brady Sandefur. The family wishes to thank all who have loved and prayed for Brenda through recent years. She has been especially loved on by her children, her sisters, and a special cousin, Becky Bagley and husband Bill. With her recent illness, the family could not have asked for better care provided by her boyfriend, Todd Freeman. A memorial service celebrating Brenda's life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, March 19, 2018, at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel in Shreveport. Officiating the service will be Earnie Fegley. Following the service, visitation will be held at the same location from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
