C. D. Chaler

Funeral services for C. D. Chaler, 88, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Beth Sentell. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday, October 17, 2014. C. D. was born on July 21, 1926 in Shreveport, LA and passed away on October 15, 2014. He was a resident of Shreveport and served our country in the U.S. Navy in WW2. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Jane Miller Chaler, second wife, Ethel Arender Chaler, and third wife, Ann Ortego Chaler; father, Victor M. Chaler; mother, Beulah Westmoreland Chaler; and son, Raymond L. Chaler. Left to cherish his memory are sons, Clarence D. Chaler, Jr., Bobby G. Chaler and wife Barbara, John C. Chaler and wife Theresa; grandchildren, Angela Brookshire and husband Eric, Bryan Chaler, Lauren Raney and husband Matt, Ian Chaler, and Skylar Rhea Governale; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Kailey, Aiden, Kade and Riley.
