Catherine Pickens Hawkins

Funeral services for Catherine Pickens Hawkins, 90, will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. until service time. Officiating the service will be Reverend Jim Freeman. Catherine was born on June 6, 1930 in Mansfield, Louisiana to Lee Pickens and Ruth Pickens and passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in Ringgold, Louisiana. Catherine enjoyed playing cards and dominos with her friends and family. Another favorite hobby of hers was her daily 4:00 p.m. cocktail hour and jeopardy. Catherine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willis Hawkins; son, Thomas Hawkins; daughter, Deborah Evans; three brothers, Bill Pickens, Lee Pickens and Pete Pickens; two sisters, Valerie Nunn and Marie Duke; and grandson, Daniel Hornsby. She is survived by her daughter, Susan May; daughter-in-law, Martha Hawkins; granddaughter, Hollie Hawkins; grandsons, Thomas J Hawkins, Zachary May (Heather), Troy Rougeau and Justin May (Leslie) and great-grandchildren, Alyssa Rougeau, Jacob Hornsby and Jordan Hornsby. Honoring Catherine as pallbearers will be Thomas J Hawkins, Zachary May, Justin May, Troy Rougeau, Ronnie Horne and Hoyt Bellamy. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Joseph Sepulvado. The family wishes to express special thanks to Hoyt Bellamy, Cynthia Sandidige, Mary Sue Lord, Tracy Mendels, Hollie Hawkins and Laura from Allegiant Hospice in Minden, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, Florida 33607.
