Charles was born July 29, 1936 in Sour Lake, Texas and went to be with his Lord on November 22, 2020 after a full life of serving the Lord and enjoying his family and friends. We know the love of his life, Juanita Sattler, was waiting to greet him in heaven. They were married on September 12, 1958 at Little Egypt Church which began a life of love and service to their family, friends and church. Upon getting married, he served his country in the United States Army. He was a faithful supporter and active in his church while supporting missions in the Philippines and abroad. He loved getting together with friends (the gang) on the weekends. He was very diligent at everything he did whether it was serving the Lord, at work, or playing and having a good time. Charles was a man that lived his life with tremendous love and generosity for all and especially his family. He was a man that prioritized the unity and spiritual well-being of his family above all else. Although at times he would take advantage of it and call a family meeting that would actually be a family workday, which he relished! Charlie's humor was quick witted, along with his love for joke telling and being a prankster which he was very active at until the very end. He had a deep passion for fellowship and cheering people up! He will be tremendously missed by all who knew him but we have the blessings of our memories with him laughing while slapping his leg, picking while showing his love for you and crying telling you how much he loved you! Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Laura Sattler; his wife of 58 years, Juanita Sattler; and his brother, Eugene (Junior) Sattler. He is survived by two brothers, Stanley Sattler (Lydia), Perry Sattler (Patsy); one sister, Pearlie Sattler Colston (Jimmy), and numerous nieces and nephews; three children, sons, Ray Sattler (Vanessa), Roy Sattler (Tammy), one daughter, Tina Sattler Parker (Troy); 11 grandchildren, Jared Sattler (Jennifer), Caitlin LeBlanc (Adam), Ashley Crawford (Weeks), Kasey Alford (Jeremy), Laura Moore (Reed), Mckenzie Wilder (Phillip), Tyler Key, Kyle Pearson (Katie), Meagan Pearson, Tarah Lott (Nick), and Ethan Parker. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Pastor Scott Etheridge and Tommy Keene of The Healing Place Church, The Blake Assisted Living, Renee Matheny and the wonderful staff at Regional Hospice. Till we meet again, we love you and miss you dearly, Daddy, Papaw, Brother, Uncle and friend.
