BOSSIER CITY, LA - A graveside service for Charles Walter Hill will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 29, 2017 at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Beadle, pastor of First Baptist Church of Benton. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Bossier City. Walter was born to Ralph and Gladys Hill in Hardy on March 24, 1930 in Hardy, AR and passed away May 24, 2017 in Bossier City. Walter was a former resident of Benton, LA, a member of First Baptist Church of Benton, and a retired dairy farmer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, family, reading, and music. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Dorothy Brigham Hill; second wife, Margaret Stewart Hill and sister, Mary Jo Hall. Walter is survived by his sons, Kenneth Hill and wife, Tammy, Glen Hill and wife, Jan; daughter, Sharon Hill Janik and husband, George; grandchildren, Tammy, Steven, Stephanie, Carmen, Jacob, Jordan, Kevin, Sarah, Kitty, and Heath, in addition to 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
