Funeral services for Charlotte Marie Jones Bass, 70, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2019 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Charlotte was born April 6, 1949 in Negreet, LA and went to be with her Lord on April 10, 2019. She worked for InstaPrints for seven years before managing the Bentley Apartments for the fourteen years before retiring. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, James Lonzo and Susie Jones; brother, Ray Jones and Ralph Jones; sisters, Jeralean Goins and Maxine Taylor; nephew, Timothy Boykin; brother-in-law, John Boykin. Left to cherish her memory are her children, John Bass, Jr. and Shawn Bass Ferris and husband Paul; grandchildren, Dalton Bass and wife Meagan, Cole Bass, Tyler Richardson, and Lauren Hope Richardson; great-grandchildren, Lillian “Lily Bug” Bass, Jackson Bass, and Emmett Bass; siblings, Dick Jones, Carl Jones and wife Nell, Bobbie Moncilovich, Betty Taylor, and Judy Boykin; special niece, Aileen Taylor; close friends, Lila Lodrige, Minda Lymn, Butch Bennett, and Michael Lockwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honoring Charlotte as pallbearers will be Dalton Bass, Tyler Richardson, Joe Crank, Jr., Dustin Pyle, Scott Murphy, and Chris McMellon.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Michael J. Fox Foundation, or the National Fibromyalgia Association.

The family would like to give a special thanks to James May, MD, and the family of Maurice Jackson for their support.
