Funeral services for DaLynda Dean Gilcrease 50, will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Kings Temple United Pentecostal Church, 8951 Kingston Rd, Shreveport, Louisiana 71118 where DaLynda was a longtime member. Bro. Damon Magee will officiate assisted by Bro. Jerry Dean. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the church. Graveside services will follow the funeral at Keithville Cemetery. Mrs. Gilcrease was born May 14, 1969 in Shreveport, LA to Carolyn Ann and Alvis Terry Dean. She went to Vidrine High School in Vidrine, LA. She moved to Shreveport, LA and worked for Morrison Dickson for 24 years. She married Jerry Gilcrease, Jr. on October 25, 1991 and they soon after had two children. She went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 16, 2020 after a sudden death. She was a loving, kind and helpful spirit. Mrs. Gilcrease never met a stranger, no matter where she was. She was an amazing mother that was Godly and always passed on great advise. Mrs. Gilcrease was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, MaDonna Wachter. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Wayne Gilcrease, Jr.; son, Trey Gilcrease; daughter, Ashley Rene Gilcrease; and grandson, Colton "Ducky" Gilcrease; brother, Slugger Dean and wife Laura; sister, Rene "Nana" Carter; mother and father-in-law, Gail and Jerry Gilcrease; sister-in-law, Cheri Pate and husband Steven; brother-in-law, John E. Gilcrease; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends Honoring DaLynda as pallbearers will be: Trey Gilcrease, John Gilcrease, Jr., Joshua Pate, Kyle Pate, Slugger Dean and Jeremy Speight. Honorary pallbearers will be: Matt Mason, Dean Carter, Johnathan Carter and Jaden Speight. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Kings Temple UPC or to the charity of the donor's choice.
