Lebanon Cemetery in Gibsland, LA. Diane "Pinkie" Bryan Reeder was born on April 12, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky to parents Douglas and Lydia Bryan. Diane is now reunited with her parents and is singing praises to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Diane left this earth on October 9, 2019 with her husband David by her side holding her hand at their home in Blanchard, LA. If you knew Diane, you know that she is exactly where she has longed to be, and we all know that heaven is a bit pinker with her there. She lived life to the fullest, and never seemed to run out of energy, even as her disease progressed. One of her favorite sayings was, "Ride all the rides!" And that...she did! Diane was a devout Christian woman and was a member at North Shreve Baptist Church in North Shreveport. She was passionate about missions and had the honor of serving on the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention for many years. Diane worked for the State of Louisiana as secretary to retired Louisiana Supreme Court Justice Jeffrey Victory for over 20 years. Diane was also an accomplished soprano and a member of the Louisiana Baptist Singing Women. She had a beautiful soprano voice. She also enjoyed camping for many years with her husband David at Lake Greeson in Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents Douglas George Bryan and Lydia Thornton Bryan. Diane is survived by her husband of 52 years, David E. Reeder of Blanchard, LA; daughter, Jammy Sheppard and husband, Alan, of Whitesboro, TX; son, Richard Bryan Reeder, and wife, Jennifer, of Portsmouth, VA; brother, David D. Bryan, MD and wife, Lara; 5 grandchildren, Richard D. Reeder, Dalton Reeder, Tyler Reeder, Claire Sheppard, and Jackson Sheppard; 3 great-grandchildren, Mirren, Morgan, and Rico Reeder. Serving as pallbearers will be Corky Bryan, Robin Bryan, John Ehricht, Bryan Griffin, Richard Griffin, and Marvin Montgomery. Because of Diane's love for missions, the family requests that memorials be made to your church missions programs.
