Don McInturf

Shreveport, LA- Funeral Services for Don McInturf, 83, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Woodridge Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park in Shreveport, LA. Visitation with the family will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at Woodridge Baptist Church. Officiating will be Dr. Chuck McInturf, Dr. Richard Blue and Dr. Mike Hawkins. Don was born April 1, 1934 in Perry, Arkansas to Eugene Haywood McInturf and Violet Mary Herndon McInturf, and left to be with his Lord and Savior on September 7, 2017. Don served as Deacon at Woodridge Baptist Church. He loved to go golfing, fishing and hunting. Don loved his family and was so very proud of his children. Don was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jon McInturf, Ronald McInturf, and Michael McInturf; sisters, Betty Lee and Shirley Duncan; daughter in law, Carol McInturf. Left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife of 65 years Elizabeth Elaine McInturf; sons, John McInturf, Chuck McInturf and wife Stefanie; daughter, Vickie McInturf Blue and husband Richard; grandchildren, Richard Blue Jr., (Renee), Michael Blue (Laura), Kelli Hill (Josh), Kerri Blount (Todd), April DiChiara (Benny), Erin Fredieu, Lindsay Austin (Sam), Brennen McInturf (Fiancée-Audrey Ellzey) and 12 great grandchildren. Honoring Don as pallbearers will be his grandsons. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Woodridge Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Woodridge Baptist Church Building Fund.
