Doris Clark

A graveside service honoring the life of Doris Sifford Clark will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Merryville Cemetery in Merryville, Louisiana. Doris Sifford Clark was born April 27, 1937 in Parrott, Virginia to Keith Sifford and Virginia Lucille Owens and passed away peacefully, Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Doris was a wonderful a person who always stayed positive. Even on your worse day she would find something inspiring or say something to make you laugh. She loved to write poems and was very crafty. She had an everlasting memory, was a very quick thinker and jokester. You were not going to be able to pull anything over on her. She loved messing with telemarketers and get them laughing. Some would even call her on a monthly basis just to see what she would say. Doris liked the great outdoors, gardening, fishing, shopping and loved taking care of other people. Everyone always wanted her milk gravy and cathead biscuits. She will definitely be missed but not forgotten. She will be in our thoughts and will hold everlasting memories. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy D. Clark; parents, Keith Sifford and Virginia Lucille and Hubert Gann; sister, Ellen Ruth Sifford; great-granddaughter, Landry J. Clark and niece, Denise E. Moss. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Vicky C. Cooper and J.E. of Emporia, KS, Brenda L. Clark of Heflin, LA and Casey D. Clark, of Haughton, LA; sister, Connie S. Moss of Sulphur, LA; three grandchildren, Tad, Ty and Timothy Clark; three great-grandsons, Luke, Judd and Brody Clark and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring Doris as pallbearers will be Tad Clark, Ty Clark, Timothy Clark, Jerry Williams, John Clark, Greg Clark and Wendall Austin.
