Dorothy Dance
Funeral services will be held for Dorothy Dance, age 87, at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia. Bro. Eddie Balance will officiate. Interment will follow at Hurricane Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Arcadia.
Dorothy was born May 23, 1929, in Hurricane, LA to Dewitt and Edna Johnston Chandler. She passed away on Tuesday March 28, 2017, in Athens, LA. Dorothy was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Dewitt and Edna Chandler, husband Jay Wilson Dance, daughter Jane Dillon, son Eddy Wayne Dance and half-brother Joel Chandler.
She is survived by her son Dennis Dance and wife Denise, daughters Janet Dobbins and husband Barry, Janelle Turner and husband Dale Wayne and Angela Turner, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and by other nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Dobbins, Jeremy Dobbins, Jason Dobbins, Cody Dillon, Hunter Turner and Daniel Smith.
