Years later her family moved to Chidester, AR where she met and married Forest Abbott. They later moved to Shreveport, built their home and had three daughters. When her children were teenagers she decided to attend school and fulfill her dream of becoming a nurse. She truly enjoyed her profession until her retirement. Her church and church members were a big part of her life until her health no longer allowed her to attend.
