GRAND CANE, LA--Funeral services honoring the life of Edith Platt, 94, will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Grand Cane United Methodist Church in Grand Cane, LA with Reverend Leland Wade and Reverend Ken Norton officiating. Burial will follow at the Grand Cane Cemetery in Grand Cane, LA. The family will receive friends at Grand Cane United Methodist Church for visitation on Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 1PM till time of service. Edith was born on March 13, 1923 to James and Alma English Parker and entered into rest on June 7, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Burton Platt; parents, James and Alma English Parker; son, Paul Parker Platt; daughter, Edith Platt Lloyd Black; and ten brothers and sisters. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Allison Platt Andries and her husband David Kent of Tyler, TX; Erin Black Larance and her husband Patrick Lewis of Bossier City, LA, Jennifer Nicole Black of Dallas, TX; great grandchildren, Paul Kent Andries and his wife Courtney of Tyler, TX, Grant Armstrong Andries of Tyler, TX; great great grandchild, Wyatt Andries of Tyler, TX; and brother Don Parker of Shreveport, LA.
