Eoline Williford

SHREVEPORT, LA - Milda Eoline Stone Williford, 90, was born in Houston, TX May 10, 1928, to Milda K. Stone Findlay and Nelson Leon Stone and went to be with her Lord and Savior January 16, 2019, in Shreveport, LA. Eoline attended school and lived in Menard, TX most of her young life. She graduated from Santa Rosa Nursing School in San Antonio, TX. Eoline retired as a Registered Nurse. Eoline was a talented artist and seamstress whose hobbies included reading, playing bridge, needlework and most important, study of the word of Our Lord and Savior. A majority of Eoline's life revolved around the study of Bible. She was always quick to quote and give good advice based on the word. Eoline lived a long and interesting life. One period in her life she studied and became an expert in graphoanalysis, the study of handwriting. Using that knowledge she helped her husband, Don, in his insurance business. Another short time hobby that proved interesting and fruitful was uranium prospecting. In her retirement years she enjoyed traveling both in the United States and abroad. The coat of arms for her maiden name Stone includes colors that indicate sincerity, strength, loyalty in love, peace and generosity. All traits, that describe this great woman that will truly be missed. Preceding Eoline in death were her parents, her husband Donald Eugene Williford, sons, Gary Don Williford and Larry Len Williford. Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Leon Stone and wife Charlene, Jack Stone and wife Judy and James Stone; daughter-in-law, Le Nelle Williford; and other relatives and friends. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Doug Austin, Danny Houchins and David Goodman. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the caregivers at Garden Park Nursing and Rehab and St. Joseph's Hospice for their care and support. The family suggests memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Safely Home

I am home in Heaven, dear ones; Oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over, Every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly Trod the valley of the shade? Oh! but Jesus' arm to lean on, Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely, For I love you dearly still; Try to look beyond earth's shadows, Pray to trust our Father's Will.

There is work still waiting for you, So you must not idly stand; Do it now, while life remaineth- You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is all completed, He will gently call you Home; Oh, the rapture of that meeting, Oh, the joy to see you come!
