Eulava Thomas

Shreveport, LA - Eulava Normand Thomas, 87, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015, from breast cancer. Eulava's world centered around her family and rescued cats. No human or animal went hungry around her. Predeceasing Eulava was her husband of 61 years, J. Coles Thomas, and daughter and son-in-law, Eulava and Robert T. Helmka, Jr. She is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Colette Thomas & Rhonda & Rick Fazio; grandchildren, Robert Thomas Helmka, III, & Eugenie Helmka, Jason & Amber Fazio, Nicholas & Leigh Fazio, Vincent Fazio & Camila Khan; great grandchildren, Millicent Helmka, Blake, Benjamin, Riley, Brandon, Lucas Fazio, and Mackenzie Davis. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at Rose-Neath Southside with graveside services at 2:00 p.m., Forest Park East. Officiating will be Msgr. Earl V. Provenza. The family extends a special thank you to Laura Bolton of LifePath for the kind and compassionate care she provided our mom.
