Faye Teekell

Faye Teekell (Norma Faye Buie) passed away peacefully in Bossier City, Louisiana on Saturday, March 28, 2020. Faye was born, to Milton and Ida Buie, on March 29, 1929 in Latania, Louisiana. She graduated from Bossier High School in Bossier City and went on to earn her bachelor\'s degree from Centenary College of Louisiana and a master\'s degree from Northwestern State University. She was a teacher and a counselor for many years before retiring. Faye traveled all over the world but her favorite was the Euro rail to Austria and Switzerland. She loved antique auctions and was an active member in the Church of the Cross. She lived life her way, and enjoyed every minute of it. Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Joe Teekell; parents, brother, Aubrey Buie; sister, Maxie Frake; and her son-in-law, Tommy Wallis. Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Archie Buie; two daughters, Vicki Wallis and Carla Hahn; two grandsons, Tommy Wallis and wife Amanda, and Jay Wallis; four great-grandchildren, Bailey, Riley, Maycee, and Jayleigh Wallis. She loved her family dearly. A private visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Bossier. Due to COVID-19, the family will have a private funeral service with private graveside services following at Hill Crest Memorial Park.
