Felton Pruett, 89, died in Shreveport, LA on September 19, 2018. He was born in Many, LA on December 30, 1928.
Felton played steel guitar for many, many years. He played with the best for KWKH's radio program and with the infamous Louisiana Hayride. After he graduated from Many High School, he made steel guitar his passion. He traveled many miles with different bands before settling down with Union Pacific Railroad, where he made many more friends during his 39 years there. However, making music on the steel guitar remained the love of his life and he never quit playing. His guitar still stands in his music room today. Felton also remained a member of good standing at the Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years.
Felton was married to Rita Arnold for 69 years and was a devoted husband and father of four boys, Rod, Randy, Ryan, and Reagan. He is survived by his wife; one son, Reagan and wife Jessica; daughter-in-law, Cindy Camus Pruett; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
