Funeral services for Florence "Granny" Potter, 79, will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Blanchard Memorial Cemetery in Blanchard, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother David Kenny. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Granny was born on June 16, 1941, in Converse, Louisiana to Oneida Tuttle Gartner and "T.C." Terry Chester Daughtery and passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's/Dementia in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Granny was a homemaker that made a house a home. She loved and supported everyone unconditionally. She was \"famous\" for her White Chocolate chip cookies and enjoyed giving them to friends and family. She was District Manager for the Avon Company for over 30 years, member of Eastern Star, lady of a Shriner at Elkarabuh Shrine, proud supporter of The Shriners Hospital and a member of the Louisiana Beekeepers Club. Her greatest love was her family, she found the most joy in spending time with the ones she loved most. She loved to travel and see the country, mostly the children and she loved and supported them with all that she was. The family was her everything.
Granny is survived by her husband of 61 years, Quinton Potter; son, Terry Potter; daughter, Blanche Winer; sister, Eloice Balazs; two granddaughters, Brittnay Hartman and Nikki Potter; four grandsons, Dan Jones, Joey Jones, Clint Palmer, and Jack Hartman; great-grandchildren, Haley, Harley, Madisyn and Mckinlee as well as a host of other family members.
Honoring Granny as pallbearers will be Terry Potter, Jack Hartman, Rocky Horton, Mickey Horton, Juston Potter, and Everett Potter.
