Floyd Tibbits

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Floyd Albert Tibbits, 88, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 25, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park. Rev. Chris Willcutt and Rev. Dennis Aaron will be officiating. Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017 prior to the service at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Floyd was born May 9, 1929 in Torro, Louisiana and went to be with his Lord and Savior August 23, 2017. He was loved by all who knew him. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and a faithful Christian. Floyd was a member of Grawood Baptist Church. Floyd is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Margie A. Tibbits; daughter, Patricia Fortenberry; 3 grandsons; 3 great granddaughters; 2 great grandsons; 1 great-great grandson and brother, Don Tibbitt. Honoring Floyd as pallbearers will be Jonathan Thompson, Steve Thompson, Jason Fortenberry, Gary Alexander, Steve Frith, and David Bryant.
