I have only worked at H&E a little over a year. Mr. Fred helped me immensely and I considered him a friend. I enjoyed our talks about Branson and all he planned to do. I miss him very much sitting in my office and helping my day go by. I am so sorry for your loss. He is a great man.

Betty, Sherrie and I want to extend our sympathy to you and all the family in the loss of Fred. We have had ya'll on our mind and heart since we first found out you and Fred were in the hospital and continue to think of you and pray for you during this time. I worked with Fred at H&E for almost eleven years. The time I spent with Fred was to say the least, interesting! Fred and I worked together on several jobs and went to Baton Rouge a couple of times for school. It was always fun working with Fred, we could hardly call it work. I could tell you a lot of stories of the times we worked together, all good memories. Since being gone from H&E Fred and I have talked several times thru the years, some times for help on a crane, most times just to say hi. I talked to Fred a lot last fall when I had one of our man lifts in the shop for repairs. Fred called me and asked me joking, why did you send me this piece of wore out junk. I told him so he could make it like new again, he needed something to work on. I know he loved you and the kids and the grands, he was that kind of man, he spoke of ya'll often. I'm so glad that God allowed our paths to cross and we became friends. Fred, thank you for your service to our country, thank you for being a friend, for helping me in so many ways. Fred, this is not goodbye, just I"ll see ya later!

This still doesn’t seem real, I can’t wrap my head around not getting to see you again on this earth. We didn’t get to see each other often but the times we did are unforgettable memories. I’m so happy I got to tell you about my little girl in person, I just wish you could have meet her. She would have loved to play around with you, you’ve always been good a tickling wars( you always won, not much of a far battle tho). We all love and miss you so much. Tell my baby sis that I love her an one day we will all have a big tickle war.

Nanny, I want you to know we are all thinking of you. My mom has been asking me lots of questions since I gave her the news about Parain. She loves you and has said several rosaries for you and all the family. We have both been praying since we found out you were both sick. I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope you know how much I (we) love you! I loved my Pairan Fred! He was the sweetest! He will be missed very much but he will never be forgotten. ?

Fred, Friend what good memories and stories we have. From tubing on Cross Lake with the kids, to me , you, Betty and Cathy just riding around in the boat. Going out to dinner, get togethers, fishing, hunting to skeet and sporting clays at Barksdale, that's Friendship. I know you were a good Husband to Betty and good Father to Destini and all the kids and grandkids. Friend, I know when people ask if I know you, I can smile and say You are a Friend of mine. You will surely be missed. Friend, so mote it be.

Fred was an ornery man that made me laugh. I remember him calling me asking where I was at because I was late. I told him, Fred, I’m on my way, he said you were supposed to be here 20 minutes ago, I’m a Mac Tools distributor by the way. He also told me his break times and I wasn’t allowed to show up during those times but to come when he was back on the clock. The last time I saw him was a few weeks ago we talked for about 30 minutes with just us and he was excited about his retirement in July. My heart is pretty heavy right now so I can only imagine how his family feels. He was a fine man and I’m glad I got to know him. Rest my friend, you were the BEST!

Fred wasn't just a coworker, but I considered him my friend. You always knew what he was thinking because he told you. I could ask him for help with anything at work and he was always ready to help. The world has lost a truly great man. Fred, I know that you are in a better place now, but I will not forget my brother Veteran.

Fred was a very special customer of ours. He wasn’t just a customer but our friend. We always looked forward to seeing him at his workplace every week or as he would say “ whenever we took the notion to show up”. Fred never minced his words, always spoke what he felt! He was a kind, sweet soul underneath all his rough exterior. He made us laugh so many times, he was one of the ones that would remind us of why we like what we do. It is upstanding men like him that keeps this world going, without him in it we will move a little slower. I know that he loved his wife and family as he spoke of them often. We would like to let you know our heart aches for you all. You all are in our prayers, may God give you comfort in this most difficult time! Fred you will forever be missed but never forgotten. Until we meet again my friend, may you Rest In Peace,
