Glenn Dalton McCalman \"Taw Taw\" Services celebrating the life of Glenn Dalton McCalman, 76, will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at North Highlands United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mooringsport Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Rose-Neath Marshall St. Glenn was born in Oil City, LA to Mary and Grady McCalman on November 18, 1939. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 29, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. His strong will and faith never slowed him down. He loved life and lived it the fullest. After graduating North Caddo High School, he was drafted into the United States Army and proudly served his country. Glenn took pride in his 34 years of employment with American Greetings Corporation and exceeded his sales goal 32 years earning him the achievement of lifetime pacesetter. Glenn was a loving husband father, brother, and grandfather. He never met a stranger and loved opening up his home and lake house to friends and family. He was always the life of the party and always had a story to tell. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Glenn was an active member of North Highlands United Methodist Church, he volunteered in the Food Pantry and took part in the Kairos prison ministry. He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Martha "Marti" Gray McCalman, sister, Evelyn "Jenny" Hodges and brother, Durward McCalman. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Keena Lusby and husband Billy, son, Jason McCalman and wife Brandi, daughter, Angie Ishler and husband Mark, son, Stacy Pourteau and wife Vanelys, grandchildren, Kole and Chayce Harville, Reagan, Emily, and Kennedy McCalman, Erica Burford and husband Josh, Taylor Page, Christian Ishler, Alexandra, Justin and Tyler Pourteau and great-grandchildren, Faith and Abram Burford. He also leaves behind his siblings, Ellene Graham , George McCalman and wife Jeanette, Bobby McCalman and wife Jannie, Loyce Bankard and husband Huey and Franklin McCalman. He will be missed and remembered by his many nieces and nephews who lovingly called him Uncle Glenn. He will also be missed by his special friend Allie Peyton who saw Glenn through the last years of his life in the good and difficult moments. Honoring Glenn as pallbearers will be Flynn and Robin Bankard, Kole and Chayce Harville, Mark and Christian Ishler. The family would like to thank Dr. V and his staff at Willis-Knighton Cancer Center for the care and support over the past 3 years.
