Gloria Gay Manning

Funeral services for Gloria Gay Manning, 81, will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Steve Gilley. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held prior to the Saturday service from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Gloria was born on April 8, 1939 to Joseph Cornelius Gay and Sybil Emma Jones in Coushatta, Louisiana and passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2021 surrounded by her family in Shreveport. Gloria was a resident of Shreveport and worked in the medical field transcribing medical records. "GanGan" as she was affectionally known by all, loved to cook and you never left her home hungry. She truly loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a lifetime member of Calvary Baptist Church. She also taught kindergarten at Calvary before joining the medical field. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Betty Garcie and Peggy Lafitte; grandson, Matt Wyatt. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cindy Meyer and husband, John, Steve Wyatt and wife, Lisa and Mike Wyatt and friend Joe; her dear friend and companion, Hugh Manning; brother, Tommy Gay; grandchildren, Chris, Matt, Stacey and her husband, Josh, Ryan, Lindsey and Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Madison, Benet, Kynslee, Ethan, Palmer, Juliana and Ariana. Honoring Gloria as pallbearers will be Josh Ashlock, Trey Harville, Cody Brian, Jason Ebarb, Lee Simms and Phillip Cox. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Chris Meyer. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Robert Hernandez, Dr. Bob Martin, and Dr. Sylvia Noble for the excellent care and compassion shown to our mother.
