Funeral Services celebrating the life of Helen Free Moore will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation with the family will be held at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will immediately follow the service at Forest Park Cemetery West, 4000 Meriwether Road, Shreveport. James Nelson of His View Assembly will officiate.
Helen was born February 22, 1938, in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana to Larry Wilford Free and Marie Burnett Free and passed away peacefully, Friday, October 2, 2020, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Helen was a proud member of the Association of Realtors and made many friends through her profession. She enjoyed designing custom homes with her husband, David, and loved putting the finishing touch on their designs. Helen always had a passion for the arts. She loved to take photographs and was known as the family photographer. She really found her calling when it came to her beautiful paintings which she exhibited at the Shreveport Regional Airport. She loved to spend time writing poetry, working in her garden and especially with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, David Moore; son, Terry Sanders; her parents; sister, Jean Good and the father of her children, Audis Sanders.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Michael Sanders and wife, Becky, Steven Sanders and wife, Ramona and Scott Sanders; grandchildren, Bridget Sanders, Michael Sanders, Jr., Brittany Shepherd and husband, Wes, Christian Gautreaux and husband, Gavin, Becca Sanders, Colton Sanders and wife, Kaley, Paul Sanders, Josh Sanders and Landon Sanders; great-grandchildren, Derek and Cole Sanders, Ashton, Olivia, and Cameron Gautreaux, Charlie and Murphy McRae Shepherd, and Caroline, Sawyer and Madden Claire Sanders; daughter-in-law, Jodie Sanders; sister, Mary Nelson and husband, Jim; brothers, Glen Free and Bo Free and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honoring Helen as pallbearers will be Greg Solomon, Spencer Solomon, Josh Free, Jeff Free, Jason Nelson and Colton Sanders.
