A graveside service honoring the life of Ida Mae Harrison Hendricks Denham, 89, will be held on Monday, October 19, 2020 at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana at 10:00 a.m. Officiating the service will be Timothy Tynan. Ida was born on August 22, 1931 in Trinity, Texas to Virgil and Daily Harrison and went passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 in Bossier City, Louisiana. She married her first husband Billie Hendricks and had two children, Twylia Yvonne Hendricks King and Jimmy Alton Hendricks. After Bill passed, she married Harold Denham. Ida was a servant for the Lord. She shared the Gospel of Jesus wherever she went. Ida never met a stranger. She would stop and pray for anyone who was in need of prayer, whether it be in the grocery store or clothing store, she did not hesitate. Ida touched everyone with her contagious smile and joy for the Lord. She was a beautiful soul who was loved by many and will be truly missed. Ida was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Billie Hendricks; daughter, Twylia Yvonne Hendricks King and husband, Samuel; second husband, Harold Denham and six siblings. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Hendricks and wife, Deborah of Bossier City, LA; grandsons, Christopher King and wife, Ellie of Dallas, TX, Chris Nicholas and wife, Terri of Cabot, AR, Don Nicholas of Dubberly, LA; granddaughter, Candace King Ryan and husband, B.J. of Benton, LA; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Ryan, Avery Ryan and Aviela King and many friends and family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. The family wishes to express special thanks to Cynthia and Consunnell for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK, 73123.
