Imogene Bryant

Imogene "Gennie" Bryant   SHREVEPORT, LA - Early on the morning of April 29, 2016, at age 71, Imogene took her flight to Heaven. Funeral services celebrating her wonderful life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Many, LA. Bro. Robert Jolly will be officiating. Visitation with the family will be held Monday, May 2, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Rose- Neath Southside funeral home. Imogene was born on January 20, 1945, in Bogalusa, LA to Isaac and Bessie McNeese Sumrall. She was the youngest of 13 children. She loved reading, watching television, and spending time with her grandchildren and friends. Imogene will dearly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a member of Light House Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Sumrall, her 5 sisters and 3 brothers, Sybil, Eula, Pat, Joe, Larry, Renee, Renette Sumrall and Billy Burdett. Those left to cherish Imogene's memory are her loving husband of 47 years, sisters, Betty Jo and Mavis Sumrall; brothers, Hollis and Melvin Sumrall Erie G. Bryant, Sr.; son, Erie G. Bryant, Jr., daughter, Wendi J. Bryant; grandchildren, Justin McNeese, Jacob Bryant, Sarah Bryant, and Cody Rush; great-grandchildren, Alyssa McNeese, Jaylen McNeese, Kimber, Cain, and Dakota Rush, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Honoring Imogene as pallbearers will be Greg Hall, James Procell, Lee Holt, Jacob Bryant, Josh Hale Michael Scales, Jeremy Sepulvado, and Justin McNeese.
