Gibsland - Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Jackie Karriker, age 82, at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Bro. John Campbell will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday.
Jackie was born February 23, 1936 in Warren, AR, to Aubrey and Mauriece Temple. She passed away on September 17, 2018, in Ruston, LA. Jackie was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Jackie and husband Bill owned and operated Bill's Appliance Service for several years, as well as starting Lincoln Heating and Air. Jackie loved to garden and loved to go antique shopping. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
Jackie is preceded in death by her husband Billy D. Karriker, brother Gerald R. Temple, sister Joyce Ann Ingram, and son-in-law Stephen Shaw.
She is survived by her son Ronny Karriker and wife Tammy, daughter Pam Shaw, sister Madge Davis and husband Larry, grandchildren Tony Karriker and wife Desha, Angie Sparks and husband Shannon, Jessie Madden and husband Casey, and Callie Shaw, by 6 great grandchildren, her best friend Carolyn Brady, and by numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Sparks, Casey Madden, Tommy Lyles, Steve Lyles, Mike King and Pete Rogers.
The family wishes to thank Kim and Hollin of Premier Hospice and Barbara Holyfield, Donna Frasier, and Jesse of Alpine Guest Care for the love and care they provided for Jackie.
