Converse, LA- James Jagneaux, 82, passed away on November 7, 2019 after a battle with lung cancer. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on November 9, 2019 at Fellowship Baptist Church, 124 Fellowship Circle, Converse, LA with Brother Weyland Gauntt officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Converse, LA. James was born on June 24, 1937 in China, Texas. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and was a longtime automobile dealer. He has owned Triple J Motors in Mansfield, LA since 1981. Since his retirement, his sons have continued to operate the business. Mr. Jagneaux loved horses and always surrounded himself with them. He was a very compassionate person and loved to help others. You could call him day or night and he would drop everything to come to your aid. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Pauline Jagneaux and two brothers, Alvin Jagneaux and George Jagneaux. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 56 years, Linda Jagneaux; sons, Jeff Jagneaux and wife Renee; Kirk Jagneaux and wife Jennifer; daughter, Angie Jagneaux Chapman and husband Johnny; sisters, Lois Violette, Jackie Pugh and husband Bill, and Marian Brown; grandchildren, Chase Zittrauer, Connor Zittrauer, Jared Jagneaux, Allison Jagneaux, Lucas Jagneaux and Tobin Jagneaux and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring James as pallbearers are his grandsons. Honorary pallbearer will be Allison Jagneaux. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 His children would like to thank their mother for all the love and devotion she had for him. She was a selfless caretaker through his recent illness. Psalm 116:15, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints."
