Greenwood, LA - James "Steve" Kilpatrick age 68, passed away on June 29, 2020 in Greenwood, Louisiana.
Mr. Kilpatrick was born to James and Lorene Kilpatrick on September 25, 1951 in Waldo, Arkansas.
Steve graduated from Waldo High School in 1969 and remained in Arkansas until drafted into the United States Air Force in 1971. During his enlistment, he was given the opportunity to travel the world and make lasting friendships that remain today. In 1975, he made his way to Greenwood, LA to begin work for Schlumberger Oilfield Services, where he worked until his retirement in 2009.
Steve had many passions that he enjoyed with old friends and new alike. He loved motorcycles and fishing. Cooking and family gatherings. He was meticulous and stubborn but always willing to lend a hand. His heart was kind and those who knew him well know this to be true.
He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Mr. Kilpatrick was preceded in death by his father, James Kilpatrick; and brother, Johnny Kilpatrick. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ginny Kilpatrick; children, Jason Kilpatrick and wife Katie, Jeremy Kilpatrick and wife Erin; grandchildren, Alyssa, JJ, Isabella, Indiana, Emily; mother, Lorene Kilpatrick; sisters, Mary Ann Pierson and husband George, Peggy Murphy and husband Tommy; and a host of nieces and nephews.
