Shreveport, LA - Graveside services to honor the life of James "Kevin" Masters, 62 will be held March 7, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St Vincent Ave, Shreveport, LA. Officiating the service will be Reverend Bob Moore. Visitation will be March 7, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA.
Kevin was born August 16, 1957, in Shreveport, LA. to the late Walter and Alice Masters. He graduated from Woodlawn High School and worked at the City of Bossier until his debilitating stroke. He was called to Heaven on March 4, 2020.
Kevin was a cheerful, kindhearted person, loved by all who knew him. His friends and family remember his warm smile and optimistic attitude that enabled him to weather life's challenges with quiet strength and contentment. It brings comfort to his family and friends to know that Kevin is now in the presence of his Lord and Savio, walking Heaven's streets of Gold.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marilyn Masters Heath; and a nephew, Richard Heath.
He is survived by his brothers, Charles and his wife Jerry Ann, Keith and his wife Diane; sisters, Carolyn Dubois and husband Richard, Clydie Parker and husband Danny, Ginger Slocum; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Garden Park Nursing Home for the loving compassion care they gave to Kevin for the past 20 years. They would also like to thank Promise Intensive Specialist Hospital for their excellent care.
