Services celebrating the life of James "Jim" Wadsworth, 65, will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA. Brian Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Mr. Wadsworth will receive family and friends at the funeral home Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Mr. Wadsworth was born May 3, 1955, in Shreveport, LA and entered Heaven Sunday, October 11, 2020 after a short battle fighting COVID. He was a lifelong resident of Keithville/Stonewall area. Mr. Wadsworth graduated from Stonewall High School in 1973. He was employed by Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office working in Courthouse Security and was also a Reserve Deputy. Mr. Wadsworth retired from Wray Ford after 26 years as a Master Diesel Tech and Service Manager. Mr. Wadsworth was a member of Baptist Tabernacle but spent his last couple of years worshipping at Viking Drive Church of Christ and Word of God. He loved the Lord with all of his heart. He will always be remembered as a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be missed dearly by many and we will rejoice when we see him in Heaven. Mr. Wadsworth was preceded in death by his parents, James and Grace Wadsworth, four nephews, Jeremy, Blake, Thomas and Levi. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Brenda Wadsworth; his children, Amanda Bolding, Jamie Wadsworth, Katlyn Andrews and husband, Stephen, and Chase Sibley; two sisters, Louise Wilson and husband, Scott, Bobbie Galloway and husband, Richard; two brothers, Thomas Wadsworth and wife, Pam, and Robert Wadsworth and wife, Cindy; five grandchildren, River Bolding, Rilee Wadsworth, Callie Bolding, Aubree Wadsworth and Emery Andrews; 35 nieces and nephews, 48 great-nieces and nephews. Honoring Mr. Wadsworth as pallbearers will be Kip Jones, Jason Tynes, Kyle Davlin, Adam Hall, Butch Spears. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Courthouse Security who he worked with and loved, Lt. Donnie Laney, Sgt. Jeff Thomas. The family wishes to thank the Willis-Knighton Pierremont Nursing Staff and doctor for the excellent care of Mr. Wadsworth. Also thanks for the outpouring of love from so many during this very difficult time.
