Jane Garrett

Graveside services for Jane Marie Biles Garrett, 99, will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Greenwood Cemetery, 130 E. Stoner Ave., Shreveport, Louisiana. The family will be at the cemetery thirty minutes prior to the service to visit with family and friends. Interment will follow at the cemetery following the services. Officiating will be her grandson, Rev. Ryan Fontenot. Jane was born on February 6, 1921 in Minden, Louisiana to Henry and Faye Biles and passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was married for 46 years to George B. Garrett, Jr. She was a dedicated wife and mother and worked as a nurse's assistant in the neonatal unit at Willis-Knighton for many years. She had a passion for cooking, yardwork and crocheting. She was a member of Pinecroft Baptist Church. Jane is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Frank H. Garrett and sister, Mary Helen Parker. She is survived by son, George B. Garrett (Barbara); daughter-in-law, JoAnne Garrett Bayliss, five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
