SHREVEPORT, LA- Funeral services for Janelle Word Jones, 66, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive. Officiating will be Pastor Mel Campbell. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the funeral home. Janelle was born on April 27, 1948 in Shreveport, LA to Marvin and Vella Word and passed away on July 12, 2014. She was a resident of Shreveport, a hair stylist and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sons, Stacy L. and Eric Jones; siblings, Johnette Talmadge (the late Lynn), Jeneva Castellanos (John), Janice Gilcrease (Claude), and Terry Jean Pine (Bob); four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Doug Talmadge, Kevin Talmadge, Bubba Gilcrease, Mark Peters, Norman Welch, and Larry Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Ennis, Bob Pine, and John Castellanos.
