Jeffery S. Easter, age 49, of Stonewall passed away peacefully on January 6, 2021. His wife and children were at his side. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, 2500 Southside Dr, Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Klein Memorial Park in Pinehurst, Texas. A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Officiating the service will be Pastor John Harp of Brookwood Baptist Church.
Jeff was born on May 23,1971 to the late Kenneth Easter, Sr. and Carolyn Sue Nichols Easter in Fort Worth, Texas. After graduating from Del Valle High School in 1990, Jeff entered the workforce. He was employed in the oilfield for over 25 years. At the time of his death, he was a Field Coordinator for American Cementing in Shreveport, Louisiana. His favorite pastimes included watching his children play various sports, coaching, bowling and barbecuing.
Jeff was a devoted family man. He had a personality that was larger than life. He was kindhearted, brave, and was known as his children's hero. Jeff was dedicated to making the people around him feel loved and appreciated. He would give to those in need and help in any way he could. He showed his love through barbecuing, coaching, and fundraising for various organizations. His family was always his main priority. Overall, Jeff Easter was a hardworking, passionate, and generous man.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 28 years, Marilyn, his children Stephanie, Ashley and Jeffery Shane; siblings Anita Watts (Sam), Mary Tosh (Randy), and Kenneth Easter, Jr (Anita) and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, nephew Baby Lee, nephew Jared Easter and niece Lauren Walsh.
Honoring Jeff as pallbearers are Anthony Rojas, Aaron Rojas, Kenneth Easter, III, Cameron David, Brandon McCoy and AC Fatheree.
Jeff's family would like to personally thank Dr. Scott McRight, Willis Knighton Pierremont Health Center, Willis Knighton Medical Center, and the staffs of the John C. McDonald Regional Transplant Center and the Willis Knighton Cancer Center. We will be forever grateful for the high level of care and compassion that was given to Jeff.
