Memorial services honoring the life of Jerry Dean Marr, 70, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the Marr Family Residence- 144 Marr Road, Mansfield, Louisiana 71052. Officiating the service will be Bro. Jeremy Phillips.

Jerry was born on October 5, 1949 in Mansfield, Louisiana to Ernest and Jackie Marr. He entered into eternal rest on March 29, 2020 in Mansfield, Louisiana.

Jerry graduated from Pelican High School in 1967. He owned and operated a heavy equipment and auto mechanic business for 30+ years. Jerry was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Mansfield, Louisiana. He had a servant’s heart and never passed up an opportunity to teach, lend a helping hand to someone in need, or have you stay for supper. His family and especially his grandchildren brought him tremendous joy. He loved his children and grandchildren equally.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Lester Marr and Jackie Nell Wallace Marr; brother, Kenneth Wayne Marr; son-in-law, Ricky Lewis.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 loving years, Lawanda Weaver Marr; daughter, Balinda Annette Marr Lewis; sons, Markus Lynn Marr and wife Crystal J. Marr and Jeffrey Earl Marr and wife Pamela Ann Marr; grandchildren, Christopher B. Smith, Shaina Smith, Nicholas Lewis, Alex Marr, Jackie Marr, Cathie Marr, Gavin Carrington, D.J. Marr, Tyler Carrington, Makenzie Marr, Michael Marr, Kaleb Marr, Destiny Porteau, Savanna Ledet, Tyler Leggett, and Trey Smith; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Drew.
