Jewell McAdams

A memorial service honoring the life of Mrs. Jewell Murphy McAdams, 97, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Antioch Baptist Church in Mansfield, Louisiana with Bro. Bob Latham officiating. Assisting the service will be her grandson, Bro. Tony Werner. Interment will be held at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dollette Hills, Louisiana at a later date. Jewell was born on January 10, 1923 in Dollette Hills, Louisiana to Thomas and Sallie Murphy. She entered into rest on March 7, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Jewell was the organist for Grove Hill Baptist Church. She later became a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was a faithful Sunday school teacher who loved the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Sallie Murphy; husband, James Pittman McAdams, Sr and her daughter, Barbara McAdams Conder. Left to cherish her memory are her son, James Pittman McAdams, Jr; daughter, Constance McAdams Dennis; six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and twenty-four great-great grandchildren.
