Ms. Jimmie Lee Gallien

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Gallien will be held on Friday November 29, 2019 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 4736 Lyba Street, Shreveport, La 71109.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Forest Park Cemetery West following the service.
Jimmie was born March 9, 1951 in Shreveport Louisiana. She passed away after a brief illness on November 25, 2019 surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James E Gallien and Mabel W Gallien. She is survived by her brother, Brian W Gallien and sister in law, LaVerne of Shreveport. She is also survived by her favorite niece and nephew, Steven Gallien of New Orleans and Staci Gallien of Shreveport. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Born and raised in Shreveport Jimmie was a graduate of Fair Park High School class of 1969 and attended Northwestern State University. She worked for many years in Natchitoches and Shreveport as a medical records transcriptionist.
She also enjoyed many hobbies. For many years she was an active member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church Ladies Auxiliary. She was an excellent seamstress, an avid league bowler, and she loved to cook. She also loved her New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers.
Whether you knew her as Jimmie Lee, Jimmie, Aunt Jimmie or Sister Baby you know that one of her favorite things was to be with family and friends having a good time, recalling memories , and making new ones. Although she will be missed, let us keep fond memories of our good times together close to our hearts.
