HOMER, LA: A graveside service was held for Mrs. Joan Camp Bolling, age 84, at Arlington Cemetery in Homer, LA, on Thursday, May 7, 2020, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Danny Baskin officiating.
Mrs. Bolling was born on February 9, 1936, in Claiborne Parish, LA, to Merrell J. and Maggie Frye Camp. She entered into rest on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, in Homer, LA. Mrs. Bolling was a graduate of Harris High School which is now known as Camp Harris. She and her husband, Edward Lamar Bolling, Jr., were owner and operators of Homer Flower Shop and Homer Dry Cleaners for over 40 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she used her gifts and talents to serve the Lord. Mrs. Bolling was known as "Nana" and was a loving mother and grandmother.
Joan is preceded in death by her husband Edward Bolling, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Sabrina Bolling of Homer; son, Eddie Bolling of Ruston, LA; two grandchildren, Mandy Smith and husband John Robert, Brittney and husband Roger Smith; four great-grandchildren, Roe, Joanna Grace, Blakely Kate and Bowen Kade; two sisters, Patricia Camp of Bossier City, LA and Dorothy Thomas and husband John of Alamogordo, NM; brother, Charles Camp and wife Rolene of Minden, LA; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers honoring Mrs. Bolling, her family suggests memorials be made to First United Methodist Church of Homer.
